Still in the U.S.

If things had gone according to plan, I would currently be flying somewhere over the Gulf of Mexico on my way to Quito.  Unfortunately, things often do not go according to plan, and I am still in the U.S. because my visa is still being processed.  I am trying as much as possible to have a "c'est la vie" attitude towards all of this, and to believe that some unseen good will come out of this situation.  To be honest, though, there are moments throughout these last two days when I have not done so well with this.  Still, I have hope that this will all work itself out soon, and my adventure will contine as planned.
